Pricing

Published prices suggest the clinic sits around average, based on a partial sample of comparable services. Examples mentioned publicly include an out-of-hours consultation from £324.50, nearly £100 for a yearly check-up and prescription, and a quoted £75 for clipping matted fur. Reviews on cost are mixed: some clients describe the practice as expensive, while one recent dental review specifically says the agreed price for treatment was reasonable.

People

Named in feedback are Mark, Christine, Tina and Jessica. Tina and Jessica are praised for reassurance and practical help during a stressful cat travel appointment, while Mark and practice manager Christine are mentioned in complaints about communication, handling or billing conversations. One long-standing client also refers warmly to an unnamed female vet they had seen for several years.

They care only about money not your pets health, they won’t treat you if you can’t afford it and they won’t offer no one a payment plan but wanna act all concerned when the treatment isn’t given and this place is run by a man who had someone’s family dog put down because he didn’t like the breed, what sort of vet does that?

Expensive, care more about money than pets.

We are very happy with the care our cat received. We left him at the clinic in the morning for his procedure and picked him up in the afternoon, already awake and feeling very well. During the procedure, the clinic called us to let us know that everything was going well, which we really appreciated. Our cat had a tooth extracted and his teeth cleaned. The whole visit was smooth and professional. We were also very pleased with the agreed, reasonable price for the procedure. Thank you to the whole team for the excellent care and attention. We highly recommend you!

The clinical staff at this practice have always been kind and caring, which makes this experience difficult to write. Around a week after collecting my pet Felix’s ashes, I was contacted regarding an outstanding balance that I had not been made aware of at the time of collection. On the same day I received three calls regarding payment. During each call, I clearly explained that I did not have the funds immediately but would be able to pay the following week. Despite this being communicated multiple times, I was later spoken to by the practice manager, Christine, in a confrontational and unempathetic manner. I was accused of being rude, and the call was terminated. This was extremely distressing given the circumstances. I raised a formal complaint and the practice owner intervened, acknowledged that normal procedures for communicating about outstanding balances had not been followed, and accepted payment at a later date. While I appreciate that intervention, I was concerned to see reviews from previous years describing very similar issues, including owner involvement, yet the same situation has occurred again. I am sharing this experience so other clients are aware that billing matters may be pursued with repeated pressure and without sufficient empathy or consideration.
